The Lumen Prize celebrates the very best art created digitally by artists around the world.

On September 29th, at trendy Bl-NK in digitally-savvy east London, Lumen Winner’s Gala will dispense a prize fund worth $11,000 and show off many of the winning works.

Aside from the 2016 Lumen Prize itself, worth $3000, this year’s awards are divided into categories. Artists will be asked to select a category when entering.

The 2016 categories are:

Lumen Moving Image Award – $1000
for animation, video, generative or time-based works of up to 10 minutes.

Lumen Still Image Award – $1000

The Lumen Prize 2016,

for photo-manipulation, works done on phones or tablets, or similar devices.

Lumen Mixed Reality Award – $1000
for Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality art.
In partnership with the VR/AR Association. London CEO Steven Dannwill present the award at the Winners’ Gala.
The winner will be invited to speak at a VR/AR Event.

Lumen 3D/Sculpture Award – $1000
for site-specific works, 3D printed sculpture, or objects designed digitally
